It should be noted that the area of Simatai including Heavenly Ladder, Fairy Tower, Sky Bridge, and Wangjinglou are all officially closed, and there are usually security guards to prevent you from going there.

Simatai is interesting, but I have been to dozens of Great Wall locations and I would not rank Simatai in the top ten, especially if you only consider the parts that are open.
